How It Works
There are three rounds of judging for each song contest.
Round 1 is judged by Ai Song Contests staff. This round picks the top 20 songs.
Round 2 is judged by Matthew St Onge - he will then pick the top 5 songs.
Round 3 is judged by Danny Jacobson who is the Head of A&R at Hallwood Media.
He will then pick the ultimate winner of each round.
Meet The Judges

Danny Jacobson is the Head of A&R at Hallwood Media, an independent music company founded by former Geffen Records president Neil Jacobson.
Over the past five years with Hallwood, Danny has helped shape the company’s creative direction and, in the last two, played a key role in building its label, distribution, and publishing divisions. Known for discovering talent early and championing innovation, he’s been instrumental in Hallwood’s pioneering work with AI-assisted artists.
“I’m excited to join the judging panel for the AI Songwriting Competition. It’s inspiring to see artists use AI not just as a creative tool, but as a way to bring ideas to life that might not have been possible before. That kind of innovation is exactly where the future of music is headed, and I’m proud to be part of it."

Matthew St Onge is the founder of AIDIY.tech and creator of the YouTube channel AIDIY. His channel has attracted thousands of subscribers who follow his experiments with AI-driven songwriting, composition, and production.
Matthew has been invited to speak about the future of AI music at Suno and Berklee College of Music.
“I’m thrilled to be part of this AI Songwriting Contest. We’re at the start of a creative revolution where artists are collaborating with AI to redefine what music can be. It’s not about replacing musicians, it’s about expanding what’s possible and discovering entirely new sounds and voices.”
